On Thursday, March 8th, 2018, Katie Sgarro, AsylumConnect Co-Founder & President, traveled to Washington, D.C. to represent AsylumConnect on Capitol Hill. In honor of International Women's Day, Katie was invited to be a moderator for a unique panel discussion on female survivors of sexual violence seeking asylum in the U.S. The event, presented by the Refugee Alliance Network and supported by All Souls Church, took place at the Rayburn House Office Building, U.S. House of Representatives on Capitol Hill.
